Restoration Robotics Promotes Mohan Bodduluri to Chief Technology Officer
New Role Will Help to Further Advance ARTAS System TechnologyMOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)-- Restoration Robotics, Inc. a privately-held medical device company, today announced the promotion of one of its founders, Mohan Bodduluri to Chief Technology Officer.
Earlier this year, Restoration Robotics received 510K clearance from the Food & Drug Administration for its ground-breaking ARTAS™ System, where Dr. Bodduluri was instrumental in the development of this advanced technology from early stages, building the engineering team, leading the development, to production. The ARTAS™ System is a physician-controlled, state-of-the-art, interactive, computer-assisted technology that enables harvesting of hair follicles during hair restoration procedures.
In his new role, Dr. Bodduluri will be responsible for overseeing the development of all current and future technology along with exploring new business opportunities at Restoration Robotics.

Previously, Dr. Bodduluri was Vice President-R&D at Accuray Incorporated, the market leader in robotic radiosurgery. During his tenure there, he was responsible for leading its robotics work, field service, treatment planning software, and overall system design. He also played a central role in their clinical investigations and customer education.
Dr. Bodduluri received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
