KARL STORZ to Break Ground for Its 3000th OR1(R) Fully Integrated Surgical Suites

Installation at the Johns Hopkins Hospital to Be Completed in the First Half of 2012

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)-- KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc., a leader in advanced endoscopy and operating room integration solutions, is pleased to announce that preparations are being finalized for installation of the 3000th OR1® integrated operating room, which will take place at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. The new facilities will combine a range of state-of-the-art surgical technologies, as well as systems for image and data management. The first OR1® fully integrated operation rooms are expected to be installed by the end of this year, with the remaining rooms to be completed by the first half of 2012. A total of 28 ORs will be installed to complete the project.
