Toshiba’s Patient-Friendly 3T MR with Superior Body Imaging Improves Patient CareVantage Titan 3T MR System Brings Advanced Imaging Technology to Community Hospital Setting
TUSTIN, Calif.--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)--To provide patients with advanced 3T MR imaging, Jeff Davis Imaging, which is located within Jennings American Legion Hospital in Jennings, La., installed the Vantage Titan™ 3T from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. Vantage Titan 3T is a patient-friendly MR system with multi-port transmission technology and quiet gradients that allow for superior body imaging and improved patient comfort and compliance. Jeff Davis Imaging will use the Vantage Titan 3T MR for general, neuro, extremity and breast imaging.
“Toshiba’s Vantage Titan 3T system offers the flexibility and image quality needed to meet a wide range of clinical applications now and in the future,” said Joe Davis, manager of operations, Jeff Davis Imaging. “Additionally, Toshiba’s responsive applications team and hands-on training helped our staff rapidly learn the system and begin imaging patients shortly after installation.”
Toshiba’s Vantage Titan 3T MR has a 71 cm patient aperture providing a greater feeling of openness for patients, helping to reduce claustrophobia. It is also the quietest 3T MR system available, as Toshiba’s exclusive Pianissimo™ noise-reduction technology reduces exam noise by up to 33 dB(A). The Titan 3T has the ability to perform contrast-free MRA exams utilizing Toshiba’s proprietary non-contrast techniques, which make exams safer for patients with renal insufficiencies.
“The Vantage Titan 3T allows hospitals to utilize a single MR system to address various clinical needs, while offering comfortable exams for patients and quality images for clinicians,” said Stuart Clarkson, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba. “The system’s multi-port transmission creates body images that are free of di-electric shading artifacts, enabling advanced MR imaging capabilities without sacrificing quality, and solves the main clinical and patient compliance issues associated with 3T MR imaging today.”
Jeff Davis Imaging and Jennings American Legion Hospital also utilize an AquilionTM 64 CT system, an Ultimax™ X-ray system, a RADREXTM-i digital radiographic (DR) X-ray system and an InfinixTM DP-i vascular X-ray system from Toshiba.
