Toshiba Cardiac Ultrasound Improves Visualization, Diagnostic Accuracy
New Aplio 500 CV and 300 CV Showcased at ASEMINNEAPOLIS--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)--To improve exam efficiency and increase accuracy of cardiovascular disease diagnoses, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. will showcase its AplioTM 500 CV, 300 CV and ArtidaTM ultrasound systems at this year’s American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) annual meeting in Minneapolis, June 29 – July 2, 2013 (Booth #415).
The Aplio 500 CV and 300 CV are premier systems for all 2D cardiovascular exams. The systems feature Toshiba’s 2D Wall Motion Tracking technology, providing exceptional visualization and quantitative analysis of myocardial wall motion with unrivaled accuracy and reproducibility. Through the use of on-board cardiac quantification measurements in all directions (radial, circumferential, 2D rotation and longitudinal), Toshiba’s Aplio CV systems are designed to provide comprehensive information at the patient’s bedside.
The Aplio Artida is Toshiba’s flagship cardiovascular ultrasound system, offering 3D Wall Motion Tracking software, which provides accurate and reproducible quantitative analysis of cardiac function. The Artida’s enhanced single-beat 3D acquisition allows physicians to obtain high-quality 3D images on a wider range of patients, including those with arrhythmias and shortness of breath.
A Lunch & Learn Session will be hosted by three presenters discussing their experiences using Toshiba’s cardiovascular ultrasound systems:
Hans Joachim Nesser, M.D., Elisabethinen Teaching Hospital, Linz, Austria
John Gorcsan III, M.D., Pittsburgh, Pa.
Gul H. Dadlani, M.D., All Children's Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Presentations will be on Saturday, June 29, at 11:45 a.m. CDT in room #101.
“Toshiba’s cardiovascular ultrasound systems provide the industry’s highest-resolution images with the ability to deliver crucial clinical data in real time,” said Tomohiro Hasegawa, director, Ultrasound Business Unit, Toshiba. “Combining the Aplio Artida with the Aplio 500 and 300 gives Toshiba a complete cardiovascular ultrasound portfolio for virtually any imaging need.”
