Vascular Pathways Names Thomas Grifa as Vice-President Manufacturing
NAPLES, FL--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) - Vascular Pathways, Inc., a privately held medical device manufacturer with a revolutionary product for peripheral intravenous access, today announced that the company has appointed Thomas Grifa as Vice-President Manufacturing.Thomas Grifa is a senior manufacturing executive with over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. He has recently worked with several start-up and established organizations as a consultant focused on process improvements, new product introductions, and new process developments in off-shore locations. During his 25+ year career, Thomas has held various positions of increasing responsibility, including the Director of Engineering at Baxter Healthcare, in which he managed both the manufacturing engineering and the R&D engineering activities, as well as the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing for Covidien's International Division, in which he managed 20 manufacturing facilities with 8500 people located throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Thomas is a strategic and operational leader with a highly successful career, having played a key role in growing revenues, increasing operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and bringing new products to the market. His accomplishments have been achieved by leveraging several key personal assets, including his global cultural and operational intelligence gained while running and implementing manufacturing organizations, engineering organizations, and strategic planning for several businesses. His training in both lLean manufacturing and Six Sigma has aided his success in creating world class manufacturing environments for several businesses.
