Ivera Medical Announces Extension of Novation Agreement

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) - Ivera Medical Corporation, a certified minority-owned business, announced an extension of its agreement with Novation for the Curos® family of products. The agreement, which originally commenced on Dec. 1, 2011, now extends through Nov. 30, 2016.

Curos is the only supplier to receive an award in the port protector category from Novation, the leading health care supply chain expertise, analytics and contracting company for the more than 100,000 members and affiliates of VHA Inc. and UHC, two national health care alliances, Children's Hospital Association, an alliance of the nation's leading pediatric facilities, and Provista, LLC.

The agreement offers the members served by Novation the entire Curos family of products, including both the individual Curos Port Protectors and Curos Strips, the convenient multi-cap dispenser. Curos will disinfect the needleless connector three minutes after application and act as a physical barrier to contamination for up to 7 days if not removed. In addition, the agreement includes the Curos Tips™ designed for use on male luers, and Curos for Tego®, for hemodialysis patients.

Bob Rogers, Ivera Medical's CEO stated, "We are pleased to extend our agreement with Novation, as we share a common objective to help healthcare organizations improve the quality of patient care while lowering costs. This extension demonstrates our continuing efforts with Novation to bring additional value to the members they serve."

Ivera Medical is part of Novation's Supplier Diversity Program, which is dedicated to the inclusion of approved minority, women and veteran business enterprises as an integral part of the Novation supply chain management process.

"I'm pleased but not surprised with the contract extension," said Mark Cartwright, Sr. Director, Supplier Diversity, Novation. "Ivera Medical has succeeded not because they are a minority-owned business, but because they possess the attributes that suppliers need for success in today's changing health care marketplace. This includes offering the hospital members we serve with competitive pricing, consistent performance, quality products, and a strong service orientation."
