Darin Hammers Appointed President And CEO Of Cogentix Medical, Inc.

(CGNT), a global medical device company with innovative and proprietary products serving urology and airway management markets, today announced that Darin Hammers has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hammers was also appointed to the Board of Directors of Cogentix. Mr. Hammers had been appointed interim President and Chief Executive Officer in May."Under Darin's leadership, Cogentix has continued its strong momentum in the marketplace and his team has been laying the strategic groundwork for our next phase of growth," said Howard Zauberman, Chairman of the Board of Cogentix Medical. Mr. Hammers' experience includes over 25 years of increasing leadership roles in urology sales. He joined Cogentix Medical predecessor company Uroplasty as Vice President of Global Sales in January 2013 and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing in August 2013. In January 2016 he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer prior to being named interim President and CEO in May. Prior to joining Uroplasty, Mr. Hammers was Vice President of Sales for Bard Medical Division of C.R. Bard based in Covington, GA, focused on Urology care products. Prior to that, Mr. Hammers spent more than 12 years with Boston Scientific in various sales leadership positions in the Urology/Gynecology areas. Mr. Hammers holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Southern Indiana and an MBA from Emory University.
