Thermo Fisher Scientific's One Lambda Brand Signs Exclusive Licensing Agreement with Transcriptome Sciences Inc. for access to Molecular Microscope Diagnostic System
CANOGA PARK, Calif., May 16, 2017 -- (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- One Lambda, a Thermo Fisher Scientific brand, announced today that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Transcriptome Sciences Inc. (TSI) of Edmonton, Canada for its new microarray biopsy service, the Molecular Microscope™ Diagnostic System (MMDx)."The MMDx is a truly innovative way of assessing transplant rejection. There is a lot of contention with the results from the current technology," said Dr. Jon Kobashigawa, Cardiologist and Director of the Heart Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
The MMDx system complements conventional biopsy processing to improve the assessment of rejection and injury in transplanted organs. In addition, it can provide theranostics support for drug development and use. Kashi Clinical Laboratories, Inc., a CLIA licensed CAP accredited laboratory located in Portland, Oregon, has recently adopted this technology. This Laboratory Based Service will be offered by Kashi in collaboration with TSI for processing of sample biopsies in the US.
