How to get into pharm/medical sales without sales experience?

I've been a nuclear medicine technologist for 5 years and looking into pharm/medical device sales. I'm being told I need sales experience even for entry-level sales, but how do I do that? Where do I look? I received my CNPR from NAPRx last July, was that useless? Any suggestions would be great!
