I've been a device rep for about 5 years now and have sold in the OR. I am considering doing some independent representation and would like to hear some realistic expectations of how long to start up and get running and what first year income may be as well as long term income.
Also what would be the best field to specialise in?

I have sold to all specialties but most recently have done neuro-stimulation. I ran my own business for 10 years and actually had independent reps working for my company so I have a good idea what it would be like.

Any info would be helpful.
