The Group Room(R) Cancer Talk Radio Show to Broadcast Live From the 42nd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Sunday, June 4
LOS ANGELES, May 31 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- The Group Room -- the nationally syndicated weekly call-in cancer talk radio show -- will produce its annual live broadcast from the 42nd meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Sunday, June 4, 2006, Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA."We're pleased to have The Group Room return for their 9th annual live broadcast from the floor of ASCO's Annual Meeting," said Roy S. Herbst, PhD, MD, Chair of ASCO's Cancer Communications Committee and Professor of Medicine at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. "This radio show provides a tremendous informational service to the patient community by presenting thoughtful perspective and expert review of the latest science advances in cancer care research."
The annual ASCO meeting is one of the largest and most important scientific oncology meetings in the world and the program provides an excellent opportunity for listeners to speak directly with some of the most noted cancer experts. This special broadcast is a collaborative effort with ASCO's consumer website, PeopleLivingWithCancer.org, and will present clinical highlights from the meeting, with a special focus on survivorship and patient care, lung and breast cancer, as well as advances in targeted therapies.
