I-Flow Corporation Announces Group Purchasing Contract with Amerinet(R) for ON-Q(R)

LAKE FOREST, Calif.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Sept. 7, 2006--I-Flow Corporation (NASDAQ:IFLO ) announced today an agreement with Amerinet® to make the ON-Q® line of post-surgical pain relief devices available to its member facilities. The contract includes the ON-Q PainBuster® Post-Operative Pain Relief System, the ON-Q C-bloc Continuous Nerve Block System and the ON-Q SilverSoaker® Catheter. Patients treated with ON-Q experience significantly better pain relief than with narcotics alone following surgery and need significantly less narcotics during their recovery so they often get back to normal faster after their surgery.

Amerinet serves more than 2,100 hospitals and 40,000 non-acute care facilities nationwide.

"We are proud to add Amerinet to our growing list of group purchasing organizations with which we have contracts," said Donald M. Earhart, president and CEO of I-Flow Corporation. "This relationship brings ON-Q to thousands of surgical facilities, thus redefining recovery for more patients by offering superior post-surgical pain relief."

About ON-Q

ON-Q is now labeled to significantly reduce pain better than narcotics and to significantly reduce narcotics intake after surgery. ON-Q is a simple yet elegant device that consists of a small balloon pump that holds a local anesthetic (a pain-numbing medicine) and delivers it automatically through a tiny, specially designed tube (catheter) to provide even distribution of local anesthetic over a wider area, as compared to other catheters, because of its patented wicking capabilities.

Currently, more than 50 studies on the use of ON-Q have been presented and published and more are underway to demonstrate the benefits of ON-Q in additional areas such as reduced infection risk, combination therapies (e.g., a local anesthetic and antibiotic mix, a combination of a local anesthetic and an anti-inflammatory), pediatrics, chronic pain and wound healing.
