IMS Health Names Bruce Boggs Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and External Affairs
William Nelligan Appointed President, IMS AmericasFAIRFIELD, Conn.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--IMS Health (NYSE: RX ) today named Bruce Boggs senior vice president, Global Marketing and External Affairs, a new position. Previously, Mr. Boggs was senior vice president and president, Americas for IMS. He continues to report to David Carlucci, IMS chairman and CEO, and will be based at the company's Connecticut headquarters.
In his new role, Mr. Boggs will be responsible for ensuring that IMS's marketing, communications and external affairs activities are leveraged effectively and consistently worldwide. He will drive the continued alignment of the company's marketing programs and messages, and also oversee external affairs initiatives that reinforce the critical role information plays in support of evidence-based healthcare.

Mr. Boggs has 30 years' experience in the IT and healthcare industries. He joined IMS in 2002 as senior vice president of U.S. Sales and subsequently took on responsibility for marketing in the region. The following year, Mr. Boggs was named senior vice president and president, IMS Americas. Before joining IMS, he served in a variety of sales, marketing, strategic development and general management positions during a 26-year career with IBM.
IMS also announced that William Nelligan has been appointed president, IMS Americas, reporting to Mr. Carlucci. Mr. Nelligan will be responsible for IMS operations in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. As head of the IMS Americas Strategic Partners group for the past two years, he played an important role in business development activities for a number of acquisitions and alliances, drove compliance with third-party access agreements and built relationships with key data supply partners.
