Premier Inc. Picks Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics to Provide Integrated and Urinalysis Solutions
Company Represents First U.S. GPO to Select Integrated PortfolioTARRYTOWN, N.Y.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics, www.usa.siemens.com/medical, announced today that it has been selected by Premier Inc., www.premierinc.com, the nation's largest Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), to provide a complete line of immunoassay, chemistry, automation and urinalysis solutions. The agreement is part of Premier's recently issued "Core Lab" segment which sought solution providers in six separate bid categories. Siemens has been selected to provide the Integrated and Urinalysis solutions.

Hospitals in Premier's alliance will utilize the full line of ADVIA® Chemistry Systems, ADVIA® 2400, 1800, and 1200. The full line of Immunoassay Systems; ADVIA® Centaur® XP, ADVIA® Centaur CP, IMMULITE® 1000, 2000, 2500 and Automation Solutions such as ADVIA® WorkCell® and ADVIA® LabCell®. The ADVIA® 1800 Chemistry System will enable labs to perform 1800 tests per hour and work more efficiently through its high-resolution touch screen which delivers push-button operation. The ADVIA® Centaur® XP Immunoassay System delivers powerful productivity through its data archive feature which reduces time spent on administrative tasks. The various IMMULITE products deliver exceptional performance through extensive menus which encompass routine and esoteric assays for faster clinical diagnostic information. ADVIA® LabCell® provides a comprehensive menu of automation and pre-analytical components that route samples for optimal efficiency.
