FORT MYERS, Fla., April 28 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- Dermagenics U.S., Inc., a subsidiary of Greystone Pharmaceuticals Inc., today announces the appointment of I. Kelman Cohen, M.D. as Chief Medical Director.Dr. Cohen has devoted the vast majority of his career to the problems of wound healing and treatment of chronic wounds. A graduate of Columbia University in New York and the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, he is board certified in General and plastic surgery. After two years of wound healing research at the National Institutes of Health he joined Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond as Professor of Surgery where he established one of the world's most distinguished wound healing programs in clinical and laboratory research. He has edited a definitive text on the subject, published over 150 papers in major journals and lectured on the subject throughout the world. Clinician, educator, and applied researcher, his many awards include the Lifetime Achievement award from both the Wound Healing Society (a founding member) and the Society for Advancement of Wound Care.
