SeraCare Life Sciences Appoints Vice President of Business Development
MILFORD, Mass.--(HSMN NewsFeed)--SeraCare Life Sciences, Inc. (SRLS:PK), a biopharmaceutical company providing vital products and services to the global life sciences industry to facilitate the discovery, development and production of human and animal diagnostics and therapeutics, today announced the appointment of Michael K. Steele as Vice President of Business Development. In this position, Mr. Steele will work with SeraCare’s leadership team to identify and execute strategic alliances and transactions to broaden SeraCare’s product portfolio in the diagnostic and biopharmaceutical marketplace. Mr. Steele will report directly to Susan Vogt, President and Chief Executive Officer.“We believe Michael will be a tremendous addition to the management team,” said Susan Vogt. “His extensive industry knowledge, strong leadership skills and proven track record in executing partnerships, licensing and acquisitions will play an important role in positioning SeraCare for long-term growth.”

Mr. Steele brings to SeraCare over fifteen years of biotechnology industry experience. In his business development roles at Corautus Genetics, Inc., Life Therapeutics LTD and Serologicals Corporation, Mr. Steele led and executed transactions totaling over $200MM. While at Serologicals, Mr. Steele also served in a number of operational and managerial roles with increasing responsibilities.
