Immucor Announces New Vice President, Operations
NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 19 (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- Immucor, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLUD ), a global leader in providing automated instrument-reagent systems to the blood Transfusion industry, announced today that Michael Pred has joined the Company as Vice President, Operations, responsible for overseeing all U.S. manufacturing operations.Pred has more than 15 years pharmaceutical manufacturing experience with both Pfizer and Merck & Co. Most recently, he led all manufacturing in a multi-plant operation for vaccine production for Pfizer Animal Health. Prior to joining Pfizer, Mr. Pred held various manufacturing leadership roles at Merck. He spent seven years in the U.S. Navy, as a nuclear-trained submarine officer. Mr. Pred holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
