Astellas Announces New Vice President of Marketing
DEERFIELD, Ill., May 28 -- (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- Astellas Pharma US, Inc. ("Astellas") recently hired Walt Johnston as vice president of marketing. Reporting directly to Patrick Shea, senior vice president of marketing & sales, Johnston will be responsible for leading all strategic marketing activities for on market and development products for the United States business."Walt is a driven high performer who truly understands Astellas' core values. Prior to joining Astellas, Johnston worked at Pfizer, Inc. for more than 18 years and last held the position of national sales director, Vista Rx. Most recently he was accountable for driving sales initiatives for Lipitor and Caduet. Mr. Johnston earned his M.B.A. at Boston College and his undergraduate degree at Lafayette College.
